![]() If you’re looking for a way to get access to Hagrid’s without a long wait, I recommend checking out the VIP Experience. Consider VIPĮxpress Pass is NOT accepted at Hagrid’s, and may not be for some time. I brought a lanyard with a large pouch that I could put under my shirt for my phone, and my sister had a zipper pocket on her shorts that she could put items in. Hagrid’s is an intense ride with sudden accelerations and steep turns and drops, so even though you can put items in your pocket, I recommend securing anything important. You also don’t need to store lanyards or fanny packs that have a three-pronged closure. ![]() While you’ll need to store bags, Hagrid’s doesn’t require you to store smaller loose items that you can put in your pockets, like phones or wallets. Keep in mind if you’re heading there first thing in the morning that, if you’re carrying bags, you’ll need to stop to store them before getting in line. Complimentary lockers are provided for guests to store their belongings – for large bags, larger lockers are provided for a fee. Like several of the other attractions at Universal Orlando, Hagrid’s requires guests to store bags, purses, backpacks, and other such loose items in lockers before entering the queue. The attraction has had some instances of not opening right away first thing in the morning, so experiences with this strategy can vary, but we had success with it on our visit. The other strategy we tried for riding Hagrid’s was to arrive early and head straight to the ride. We got there an hour before regular park opening (pictured above are the lines at that time) and were able to ride in about 15 minutes. If you’re visiting during the day and don’t mind being separated from your party to ride, another option is the single rider line, though it’s not open 100% of the time. The Universal Orlando app actually has a helpful feature for monitoring wait times – you can set the app to notify you as soon as the wait time for a particularly ride goes under a certain number of minutes. We kept an eye on the wait times in the app and got in line at the lowest time we saw. Our actual wait time was about 70 minutes, including a brief ride delay. We tried a couple of different strategies for riding Hagrid’s, and the first was to get in line in the afternoon when the wait time was (relatively) low, at 75 minutes. We’re back from an awesome visit to Universal Orlando Resort, and we finally got to ride Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure! It’s an incredible experience that I won’t spoil – there are lots of great surprises on this ride – but here are my top tips for riding this new attraction.
